⚔️ Collectible Card Combat · Est. 2026
Food Crimes Games will launch its first game, Food Crimes & Fugitives, later in 2026. This is the first of hopefully many games from our studio — we have a lot of great ideas percolating in the tank. And you can look forward to a graphic novel in 2027 based on the game! Stay tuned.

// The Case File
Food Crimes & Fugitives is a Fantasy Adventure Collectible Card Combat Game set in 1938 San Francisco, on the edge of Chinatown — centered in a cabaret that was the heartbeat of 1930s multiculturalism: Evan Low's legendary Forbidden City. Watch your comitragic adventure unfold as each play of the cards reveals a new sight gag, inspired by the irreverently gross comedic works of Mad Magazine and Cracked, meets the off-the-rails disasters of modern food fusion gone gloriously wrong.
When a thuggish convict escapes and forces the crew to commit a crime against food, the Stove God curses them all to eternally commit Food Crimes across the globe and through time! Keep a napkin handy — and hope you don't contract any food-borne illness!

After months of kitchen chaos and late-night card design sessions, we've officially opened our doors. Welcome to Food Crimes & Fugitives — home of the most gloriously unhinged collectible card combat game on the West Coast. Updates, card previews, con appearances, and playtesting reports coming regularly. Buckle up.
We attended GDC 2026 at Moscone Center and the Indy Arcade Party at the DNA Lounge — and the response to the Food Crimes & Fugitives art was fantastic! Conversations were had, seeds were planted, and the buzz was real. We were even interviewed on camera by the Game Developers Association of India for our insights on the most influential game of all time. Now, we obviously wanted to say Food Crimes & Fugitives — but we had to go with Pokémon GO. Why? Because it became exactly what we intend Food Crimes & Fugitives to become — a true transmedia franchise spanning games, animation, merchandise and beyond. No pressure! Thank you to everyone who stopped to take a look. Now we pack up the easel and head straight into playtesting mode — next stop, KublaCon 2026!
Food Crimes & Fugitives will have four scheduled playtesting sessions in the Protospiel space at KublaCon 2026, Memorial Day Weekend, May 22–25 at the Hyatt Regency Burlingame. Each session runs one hour with four seats available. Registration for scheduled sessions opens April 15th on the KublaCon website — you must be registered for the convention to sign up. Additional sessions are planned and all times will be announced in April. Stay tuned!
The combat system is locked. Iterating on card types, resource economy, and win conditions. Early finding: too many ways to lose involving condiments. This is fine.
The first wave of FC&F cards is almost ready to show. Illustrated, dangerous, and deeply weird. Instagram first, then here.
